State-wide Advocacy for Exporting Advantage

Recently, the Washington State Department of Revenue apprized the lease preference use ports extended to their users.  The apprisal threatens the cost competitiveness of Washington's ports (in competition with California ports and British Columbia ports) as well as raising costs for industrial and agricultural products exported.

The Chamber joined many others in seeking legislative relief from this administrative initiative to increase state revenues at the cost of the state's fragile economy and strategic marketing advantages.
