Businesses' Ideas for Making Laws

In the midst of this hotly-contested campaign season, we can’t lose sight of the necessity to prepare for the upcoming state legislative session when all the election winners will enact new laws.

To be effective in January 2013, the Chamber members need to develop the Chamber’s legislative agenda. This is a great opportunity for you, our Chamber members, to develop the legislative agenda.  The Chamber will be surveying its members for their preferences on issues that will be or should be before the legislature.

You are encouraged to promptly share survey ideas:  goals, guidelines, survey questions of policy, issue areas, legislation.  You may submit specific questions and other suggestions to Gary Brackett.

Please share with the Chamber your input for a 2013 Legislative Agenda Survey that the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee will use to prepare an agenda beginning with its next meeting, September 18.
