Total compensation costs for private industry workers increased 0.8 percent in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton, Wash. metropolitan area for the year ended in March 2010, according to a press release issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics today.
Statistical highlights include:
- Wages and salaries, the largest portion of total compensation, advanced 1.3 percent in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton metropolitan area.
- Nationally, total compensation costs increased 1.6 percent and wages and salaries, 1.5 percent for the year ending in March 2010.
